Studies were conducted on the coenzyme of brain γ-aminobutyric-α-ketoglutaric transaminase. From the results of experiments on vitamin B_6 deficient diet, inhibition by various carbonyl reagents and dialysis, it was shown that pyridoxal phosphate is related to the coenzyme.
