Abstract
In the preceding paper, the authors reported that flavoviolet (1-ribityl-2-oxo-3-hydroxy-6,7-dimethylquinoxaline) was found in the leaves, when the above ground part of farm grown pea plant was water-cultured in riboflavin solution for several days. In this paper, the authors tried the isolation and purification of this substance in plant tissues and determination of the substance. The purpose was almost achieved by treating column chromatography with Amberlite IRA-400,IR-120 and Florisil.
