Abstract
It was found that L.fermenti cells have an enzymic activity hydrolyzing thiamine diphosphate (TDP) and thiamine monophosphate (TMP) to thiamine and this activity is specific for TMP and TDP differing from p-nitrophenyl-phosphatase of the cells. The results of studies on activity-pH profile showed two maximum activities at pH 6.0 and 8.0 to TMP and one maximum activity at pH 6.0 to TDP. The activity to TMP is about four times as much as that to TDP.
