Abstract
The antioxidant activity of "Antioxidant Biofactor"(AOB) was studied against the oxidations of methyl linoleate in organic homogeneous solution and in aqueous emulsions and also of soybean phoshatidylcholine liposomal membranes in aqueous dispersions induced by free radicals. AOB, commercially available natural products containing wheat, germs of rice and wheat, rice bran, sesame, green tea, soybean, and malt, was found to contain both hydrophilic and lipophilic compounds which act as potent antioxidants against lipid peroxidations.
