Science and Technology of Vacuum and Surface

Abstract

Surface science had its beginning at the dawn of the human civilization and vacuum science in the 17^th century. Collaboration between them has begun in the late 19^th century and has grown in close manner in the field of science and technology since that. As an example of their collaboration, the author's work for 40 years is introduced.
