Toward the Actualization of Broadcasting Service with Smell Information

Abstract

In daily life, we get surrounding information through the five sense. Among those senses, the sense of smell provide specific information not provided by eyesight or hearing. So, if we can transmit the sense of smell and broadcast smell information to users in a remote place, we can feel things more realistically than the expression with only eyesight and hearing. In this paper, We propose the broadcasting system with much presence which provide influential scent with human being's mental as a factor of broadcast. And we discuss the effectiveness of the combination of smells and broadcast with this system.
