Corrugated bulkheads which are used in ships are generally strengthened by brackets or horizontal girders to prevent their deformation. In this paper, it is calculated that the force required for preventing deformation which arises under pure bending of a corrugated plate. And results are comfirmed by a experiment. Results: (1) This restricting force is so small that ordinary corrugated bulkheads need not be strengthened from this point of view. (2) Theoretical calculations well agree with results of experiment.Results:(1)This restricing force is so small that ordinary corrugated bulkheads need not be strengthened from this point of view.(2)Theoretical calculations well agree with results of experiment.
