The structure of cholesteryl 1-naphthoate was determine by X-ray crystallography. The carboxyl group makes angles of 0.44(6)° and 58.66(8)° with the naphthalene ring and the cyclohexane ring of cholesterol, respectively. Intermolecular C-H…π and C-H…O interactions were observed.
