Abstract
The structure of (4-(4-fluorophenyl)-2-hydroxy-2-methyl-3,4-dihydropyrano[3,2-c]chromen-5(2H)-one, C19H15FO4, was determined by X-ray crystallography. This compound crystallized in the orthorhombic crystal system and was characterized thus: F d d 2, a = 25.057(3)Å, b = 42.713(5)Å, c = 5.792(1)Å, Z = 16, V = 6198.9(15)Å3. The crystal structure was solved by direct methods and refined by full-matrix least-squares on F2 to a final R1 of 0.033.
