The structure of N,N,N′,N′-tetraethyl-9,10-anthracene-dimethanamine (1) was determined by X-ray crystallography. The molecule of 1 sits on a center of symmetry such that the two diethylaminomethyl groups are in an anti conformation with respect to one another across the anthracene ring. An intermolecular C-H…π interaction was observed in the crystal lattice.
