The crystal structure of N-[4-hydroxy-3-nitro-5-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-2-methylpropaneamide was determined by X-ray crystallography. The title compound crystal, a monoclinic system, was characterized as follows: P21/c, a = 4.9578(4), b = 12.2784(12), c = 21.4038(19)Å, β = 93.308(2)°, Z = 4, V = 1300.8(2)Å3. The crystal structure was solved by direct methods and refined by full-matrix least-squares on F2 to the final value of R = 0.0604.
