Condensation-polymerization of dimethyl isocinchomeronate and hexamethylenediamine was carried out by using m-cresol as a solvent in the preceeding experiment. This report deals with the possibility to see whether or not alcohols can be used as a solvent. The result indicated that methanol can be used as a solvent. The fiber thus obtained showed a slightly better characteristics that of the preceeding experiment and this may be attributed to an improvement of spinning technique. The product showing a slightly lower melting point, we have some problems to be determined later if it has the same chemical configuration as that obtained in the preceeding experiment. Also, it is necessary to improve somemore on the reacting conditions.
