Synthesis of Fluorine-Containing Medicines

Abstract

First, some characteristics that appear when fluorine atoms are incorporated into the biologically active compounds are presented. Then, some examples of fluorine-containing drugs are discussed. Finally, an approach for trifluoropropyl aromatic compounds by the Friedel-Crafts reaction is presented, followed by its attempted application to the synthesis of anti-inflammatory agents.
