In this paper, we describe a method of construction of three-dimentional blood vessel and bronchus models using a 1-mm sliced human anatomical section image. First, blood vessel and bronchus regions are extracted from the anatomical image by region growing method, and surface areas of the extracted regions are also extracted. Blood vessel and bronchus models are constructed by fitting the cylinder models to the surface areas. An experimental result applying this method to the actial human anatomical image is shown.
