In recent years, it is our concern that university students are liable not to read books. We call it "dokusho-banare". To find out our case, we did research on "dokusho-banare" among our college students. As a result, we have a real information about decreasing direction for "reading" year by year. It was necessary for us to correspond to that result. One of the pilot trials is that we, librarian, challenged to lend books from the public library. The trial gives students the opportunity of reading. In addition, we are to find out whether the lending service from the public library is proper to the private college library. I believe all of our college students fulfill their subconscious desire through secondhand access to the public library, which they have the right to read the books as citizens.

The library of the Japanese Red Cross College of Nursing conducted a renewal of the website in July 2010. In order to establish a new home page for the library itself, semi-independent from the website of the university, the evaluation of contents was first performed. As a result, we found that the contents and information for outside users were not clearly shown. We then introduced several guidelines for the outside users, and also tried to make the structure of the home page as simple as possible for the visitors to use easily. In the future, we would like to incorporate users' opinions and update information to accommodate our library website for all the users.
