From the investigations of subsurface geology and moving character of the Shimojizoji and the Nuta landslide situated in the Mikabu Green Rock Zone, the following points are summaried.
1) A clayey layer which is regarded to bear a slip surface is observed in the boundary layer between bedrock and overlying debris mainly originated from the past landslide movement similar to those layers in landslides in crystaline schist zones.
2) Despite of the same lithofacies character, moving phenomena are consequently different in two landslides, reflecting the state of landform process in each landslide.
3) Colloidial activity of the clay in the Mikabu Zone is smaller than that of clay in Tertiary Zones.
