This paper aims to classify universities on Work Integrated Learning (WIL) of faculty of law based on 3 standards : competencies which are expected to acquire, positioning as regular program, and characteristics of teachers in charge in WIL. So it shows current situation and issues of WIL. This research takes a questionnaire survey among deans of faculties of law and managers of academic affairs section in 111 universities.
As a result of survey, it is clear that a correspondence analysis identifies 2 dimension : “WIL implemented or not”, “practical competencies are expected to acquire or not”, and classifies faculties of law in 3 groups. It divides first group and second group in expectation for practical competencies, sizes of faculties, and characteristics of teachers in charge who have their practical experience. Third group doesn’t expect to acquire competencies in WIL, and have WIL programs. Furthermore, it reveals that faculties of law trends to understand it is different between learning research ability and another abilities.
In future, it is important to review why it differs expectation for practical competencies by each University, focused on concrete WIL’s program.
