    The signal points more than 3000 points were selected for the examination. The items of the examination are the followings;
    1. On the problems of shapes and its standardization of the signal points.
    2. On the problems of the vegitation around the signal points.
    3. On the problems of the height of the signal points above the ground.
    4. On the problem of the height position of the signal points above the mean sea level.
    5. On the problem of the eccentricity of the signal points.
    6. On the problem of duration of the signal points in the fields.
    From the result of these statistical examinations, the author concluded that the best signal points are placed in the wet rice field and cultivated field with shape of Y and + marks and, it is hoped, these signals are placed just befor the air flight.

    The preliminary experiment described in the report in January, 1963. was only to try to obtain the vague contours for simple objects.
    Therefore, the precision of the apparatus was very low and the experiment was a rough work, and the discussion described before was a rough one too.
    Especially, the premier report showed only the possibility of the method by the principle described in the report. Since then, our object was to obtain the fine contours of an object and then we tried to change the mechanism. it was reported in Journal of the Japan society of Photogrammetry, special volume No. 1, this was printed to be Special Issue for the 10 th International Congress of Potogrammetry at Lisbon, 1964.
    In this report, we showed some attempt to be considerable in future, but there are many difficult problems, therefore I am going on to do the refined experiment to solve these difficulties with the more precised way.

    The modern system in the field of photogrammetry has been established about 40 years back, that means, it has already passed since the wide angle camera and its plotting instruments have apperaed. The photogrammetrist can now have the chance to get their necessary inf ormations, and instruments from every places in the world. But we have never seen papers on the examination and survey for endurance and fatigue of operators in operating the plotting instrument. This surveys were conducted by the Pacific Aero Survey Co., Ltd. with the cooperations of research members belonged to Laborphy-siological Laboratory in May and June of 1967. 6 Operators and 6 Assistant of A-7 Aerograph and A-S plotting instrument were seclected as examiners for this experiment surveying every factors effecting to the human body in case of plotting works, and these results were analysed by the experts of physiology. In a series of three separated papers, these analysed procedures and results are discussed. This first paper deseribes only object, examined items, the effect of operators pose during plotting, fatigue examination, and examination for sleeping hour and the time taking the food for operators.
