    This study identifies the impact of ijyu-kon, the initiative that simultaneously considers marriage and migration, in regards to regional society. A variety of measures are being taken to encourage people to migrate and settle in the region. In such situations, while efforts are being made to expand child-rearing support and housing support to encourage the influx of people from outside the area, marriage support, which also welcomes people from outside the area, may be treated as an independent initiative. I wonder if it is not necessary to discuss cooperation between related departments based on the common goal of accepting people from outside the region. In this article, I would like to consider marriage support from the perspective of promoting migration and settlement. The current feature of ijyu-kon is thought to be that it puts the aspect of migration in the foreground, which was originally included in marriage, among the involved. For unmarried people living in urban areas, marriage with a rural resident will inevitably involve relocation. With the spread of remote work, living in two locations is attracting attention, but the link between marriage and migration remains strong. The significance of migrant marriages can be said to be that it created an opportunity for the counselors to consider emigration prior to marriage.

    This paper examines sustainable business succession considerations for green tourism (GT), aiming for simultaneous succession of management and local community. First, a review of the general forms of business succession in the modern era reveals that there is a lack of discussion regarding succession of community. Next, we conducted case studies on business succession in GT and categorized them into “intra-household succession” and “extra-household succession,” focusing on blood relations. Considering that there are cases that cannot be covered by these categories, we considered a new idea called “local business succession” (LBS). LBS is supposed to be achieved through “parallel succession,” in which the business owner and the recipient gradually pass on management issues during a parallel period, and through “local collaborative succession,” in which local stakeholders collaborate in the process of succession. LBS is conceived as a new perspective to enable the simultaneous succession of socially related goods and the physical production infrastructure.

    The purpose of this paper is to characterize job satisfaction by farming type. The survey was conducted on 39 employees of six agricultural corporations. Herzberg’s Motivation-Hygiene Theory was used to measure employees’ job satisfaction.

    The findings of this paper are as follows. The results suggest that the impact of weather and other factors on work hours is limited for farming types with a limited busy farming season, such as rice cultivation and fruit cultivation. In the case of swine farming, which involves the rearing of living creatures, the results suggest that it is necessary to pay attention to the level of satisfaction in terms of work safety, as planned vacations are difficult to take and the work is typically conducted in relatively enclosed spaces. In addition, it is important to be aware of the gender and orientation of individual employees, since it was suggested that the gender and independent orientation of employees affect their satisfaction level.
