Systems, in which one service unit supervises some operators, are widely used in the textile industry. It is important to analyse the behavior of such systems, but their analyses are difficult because of their complicated constructions. We select the full-automatic winder as an example of such systems and, by using Monte Carlo simulation method, we try to analyze its behavior in relation with system parameters.
Some of results obtained are as follows :
1) If η
N, the operation efficiency of the system in which one service unit supervises
Noperators, is defined as follow,
η
N=Total amount of the actually wound un yarn/Estimated total amount of the wound up yarn
without yarn breakages
η
N has the transient behavior in the exponential way and has a limit value in the steady state.
2) As the numbers of operator
Nbecome larger, the service time has a great influence on the value of η
n, η
N in the steady state becomes smaller and the sensibility of the system becomes low.
3) The relation between
Nand η
N nearly can be expressed as the following formula
η
N=η
N1 or
e-NPwhere p≅1-η
1However, in the case of
N=1, the simulated value of η
1is smaller than estimated η
N
