    In the land development of late years, by the reason that having jumped, large soil machine was to be used for, uniform large-scale creation is carried out, and topography environment was to be changed big. But affluent natural environment and scene have being kept in a good residence that has a good view and a good villa, because the topography was hardly changed.
    In this paper, it is made clear that the method of many-sided evaluation about Scene and Environment in Sloping Residence. And it is purpose to lead the guide of residence planning in future.

    本研究は、ニュータウンをはじめとする人為的な空間の水辺計画を考える際の基礎資料として、1960年以降の近畿圏における代表的なニュータウンを対象とし、実地踏査、設計者へのヒアリングをもとに水辺の計画・設計の歴史的な変遷を整理したものである。失われた水辺を再びアメニティの要素として復活させようという社会の要請が高まる中で、ニュータウンの水辺の計画も、初期の機能が限定されていた施設単体の点的、線的な整備の時代から、複合的な機能をもつ施設を重ねてニュータウン全体へ面的な広がりを持たせる整備の時代に至っている。このような中で、本研究では、水辺の立地、水供給システム、意匠のコンセプトの視点から、近年の水辺計画は手法が多様化しているという動向を明らかにすることができた。

    The purpose of this paper is to clarify how to give an effect to the living of the inhabitants of Imported Housing Villages, from the viewpoint of their opened streets, especially barrier-freed front yard. The results of research are as follows:
    1. The opened front yard without gate and tall fence grows up “the consciousness of common community” at private and public buffer zone.
    2. The opened front yard lets inhabitants arouse the relation of “see vs. seen”, and lets their living give stimuli such as house decoration, lawn trimming and play of children.
    3. The opened front yard conserves living environments, activates communication between neighbors and builds up the community of good quality.

     In the current Japanese urban areas, bonds of local residents have been dilutive, under the influence of low birthrate, aging, personalization of life, and diversification of values. After Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, these problems become obvious, and there has been a growing demand to regeneration of neighborhood community.
     The purpose of this study is to explore the way of planning of open type dwelling unit to activate the community. This paper examines the relationship between the dwelling unit plan and the formation of territory on 3-dimensional streets in case of the experimental housing "NEXT21". Especially, focusing the "Visual connection" between a living room and a 3-dimensional street, we analyzed the spread of personal areas on 3-dimensional streets.
     If there is a "Visual connection" between a living room and a 3-dimensional street, it caused the "intermediate space" with the device in the vicinity of the boundary. The device is the invitational design technique, also the exclusive design technique. Due to differences in the arrangement of the "intermediate space", they were classified into five types of "Visual connections" between a living room and a 3-dimensional street. To target the dwelling unit that has direct "Visual connection", we analyzed "Areas of comfortable" and "Areas to be worried about if there are strangers". "Areas of comfortable" are recognized as the private areas of proceeds. "Areas to be worried about if there are strangers" are recognized as the areas visible from the familiar life spaces.
     If the living room of the dwelling unit is spread in the "intermediate space", "Areas to be worried about if there are strangers" are formed in the areas of "Visual connection" with not only the living room but also the "intermediate space". Furthermore, "Areas of comfortable" are formed in the areas of the invitational quality. However, "intermediate space" having a large opening prevents the formation of "Areas of comfortable" under the influence of the exclusive quality.
     Through analysis, we were able to see how the private areas spread the living room to the "intermediate space" and 3-dimensional streets in stages. Simply not only to pursue the securing of privacy, but also it is necessary to perform open type dwelling planning in the hope that the community will be formed after a few years. There, it is important that "intermediate space"s become cores of communication, and connect in three dimensions by "Visual connections".

    This study is aimed to consider the common space planning which raises use of common space and supports community at detached housing areas. The results are as follows: 1) The spatial composition of the object areas is sorted by the two types, one is characterized that the area space is composed of grouping of houses, the other is characterized that it is composed of grid pattern blocks. 2) The spatial composition which effects to raise use of common space is the type that area space is composed of grouping of houses and the type that units of houses are connected each other to form a unity as a area.

     湿潤な,自然の恵み豊かな地域に起源をもつ日本住居は,乾燥地域に起源をもつ閉鎖的な西欧住居と異なり,本来は,環境と共に生き近隣との接触の多い,開放的な性格をもつ。近年の都市化や社会環境の変化,人心の変化に伴い,次第にそれが近隣との関係を絶って閉鎖化しつつある。都市および地方の調査を通じてその実態と問題点を明らかにした。一方,近隣との親密な関係を日常的に育てていくことの重要性は,とくに阪神大震災の体験を通して実感され,住居の開放性を実現する手法が求められている。それにも関わらず震災復興住宅は,迅速大量建設のみに偏って,極めて閉鎖的な高層住宅が建設されている。既存の特色ある集合住宅事例の観察調査と,計画者・設計者へのヒアリングと討論をもとに,住居の開放性を促すための空間的条件について考寮し,その計画的手法に関し以下の諸項目について記述した。①住み手の生活領域の連続性②戸外への表出のための場の確保③住戸内の日常生活を共用空間に向ける④接地感(地面に接する感覚)の重視⑤共用空間の適度なスケールと変化⑥小集団の形成

    In this study, I tried to clarify the relation between the possibility of actual seclusion and the consciousness of inhabitants regarding their privacy, basing the evaluation on the following criteria : 1. Duration of stay in the room /2. Duration of curtain being closed /3. Distance between houses. Results indicate inhabitants' consciousness of privacy occurs even in situations in which they don't stay long in a room during the day, or where the distances are greater than those normally allowed in "proxemics". To make clear this hypothesis on privacy, I conducted a survey on the residents of the Experimental-Housing project NEXT21.

    This study attempts to clarify the differences between residents' awareness of the values of their homes in suburban residential areas and the status quotation of existing-home circulation. Two surveys were conducted for this study, those are Web search of existing detached house resale market and questionnaires to residents assess the value perception of their homes. As results 1) As regards factors for residents when buying a home, clean air, the amount of greenery, state of repair, etc. were all deemed important, although the information provided for home resale market seldom refers to such criteria; 2) residents within local district development schemes thought the environment surrounding their homes would influence their value3) the towns/streets that showed a higher ratio of home resale were categorized as ones that hosted so-called average hot-selling line homes, ones with low price homes, or ones included in local district development schemes.

    This paper aims to describe and to analyze the distribution of people in the open space of housing estates. In the past studies, we suppose, the inter-personal environment of housing estates has not been described correctly compared to the physical and socio-cultural aspect of it. Quantifying and analyzing the distribution of people should be a first step to describe the inter-personal environment. As a research method, we utilized behavior mapping by time sampling procedure. Case studies have been conducted at five housing estates in Japan. Each of them can be characterized in terms of its spatial configuration. As the result of analysis through the comparison between the near surrounding of house units and the rest of it, we found that the quantity and the quality of observed behavior were substantially different. More specifically, the observed behavior in the near surrounding of house units has certain characteristics, low density and high percentage of staying behaviors. It might be possible to assume that we feel it as the atmosphere of the dwelling milieu.
