This paper investigates a viewpoint of The Studio about Japanese fine art and craft on exhibit in the Japan-British Exhibition(191O)as foundation work of a study on relationship Western design movements and Japan until the end of the 19c to the beginnig of the 20c. There were 6 articles about painting, ceramic art, textiles and embroidery, wood and ivory carving, metal work, and cloisonne ware. There were various levels from antique to craft for export in Japanese exhibits of the Japan-British Exhibition. Above all, The Studio payed attention to the modification in Japanese contemporary fine art and arts and crafts for the influence of West and the Japanese attitude on the modification.
