The clothing pressure is an important factor in the wear comfort. This is a force of the vertical direction that be oppressed on the skin by the clothing.
A new apparatus has been developed to measure accurately the clothing pressure. A pressure sensor of this apparatus is used a small sensor of 0.6 mm in thick and 6 mm in diameter. Another feature of this apparatus is wireless, so that this apparatus is able to measure the clothing pressure under the state of body in exercise.
The experimental examination has been made to investigate a relation between the clothing pressure on this apparatus and the sense of oppression on the field test. The results are summarized as follows :
(1) In case of training pants, the maximum clothing pressure of a knee under the state of body in exercise has a high correlation with the sense of oppression on the field test. And that pressure has a high correlation with the pressure that has been calculated by the following equation ; P=T

(2) In case of the sleeve of leotard, the clothing pressure that has been measured on an elbow of manikin has a high correlation with the sense of oppression on the field test. This manikin has the size and steadiness of skin that is closely akin to the body.
