1. The patient is a boy of 13 years old suffering from nephrosis.
2. The patient had received the treatment of a certain adrenocortico hormone over a period of 22 months under restricted salt intake. Suddenly he developed acute diarrhea and sensual disturbance and then hospitalized.
3. After due clinical and laboratory tests, the diagnosis of hypokalemia was established. Administration of KCl removed the sensual disturbance and the clinical symptoms and the laboratory findings of hypokalemia disappeared thereafter. Nephrosis, moreover, was cured by the treatment continued with the steroid hormone.
4. References were made on the literatures as to the causes which had evoked hypokal.emia of this patient.
