Yonago Mill manufactures wood-free coated paper and coated bleached paperboards. This Mill started up in 1952 to manufacture dissolving pulp made from hard wood, which locates in Yonagoshi, Tottoriken, Western parts of Japan, about 200 km west from Kyoto.
The mill has a capacity of 274, 000 t/y of coated paper and coated paperboard with two off-machine coaters, two paper machines and one paperboard machine. Pulp mill supplies hard wood and soft wood bleached kraft pulp of 160, 000 t/y to three machines.
The mill site area is 548, 000 square meter and number of employees is about 640.
The mill's water is treated by an activated sludge, coagulation-sedimentation, and sedimentation process. Stack gas from recovery boilers is treated by wet scrubbers. Odor gas from kraft pulp mill is gathered to be burned out in recovery boilers.
