Abstract

The aim of this design is to develop E-learning system for selfstudy specialized for deaf students. The design that we suggest is "Contextual Subtitles". "Contextual Subtitles" is the subtitles that those indication positions were changed into to the situation. It is for reduce eyes movement and more comfortably learning.
Further we performed the evaluation experiment for this design. Although a difference was not recognized about the stress, the distance of eyes movement significantly decreased.
We confirmed that for deaf students, subtitles were the most important for understanding E-earning contents. We want to examine the coverage of this design into details in the future.
