Abstract
The removal of playground equipment for the sake of safety led to the underutilization of urban parks. Thus, in order to revitalize them, we developed mobile playground equipment that can be stored and installed in urban parks. Children can move the parts of the equipment freely after the lock is opened by an adult.
Our design enables children to enjoy nesting and spreading. We developed a few prototypes of our mobile playground equipment and tested them. We found that the equipment enables the coexistence of children"s dynamic and static play, and children of different ages can play together in the park. Our mobile playground equipment has been installed in parks for a year now, and has been utilized by community groups and children after school.
