This work describes the microstructures, high temperature mechanical properties of TiC, SiC and Ti3SiC2 dispersion-strengthened V-4Cr-4Ti-1.6Y produced by mechanical alloying (MA). Optimization of the MA process parameters is carried out with the milling time from 8hrs to 40hrs. The strengthening mechanism is discussed basing on the grain structures and nano-particles dispersion conditions.
