Recently, the RFID system has received considerable attentions and gotten wide variety of applications in many different areas from supply chain to healthcare. This technology is becoming the core technology of various ubiquitous services. In this paper, we propose to use the RFID technology for Road Traffic Management to improve the efficacy and the safety of the traffic. We will design a radio map based on UHF RFID tags that will serve as reference for the traffic system. And we will discuss how we can enhance the accuracy of the vehicle's position to send it with other useful information via the road RFID readers to the control station for processing and recording. From this data it will be possible to visualize the actual status of the traffic and to control the respect of the traffic rules such as traffic signs, over speed, forbidden parking zones, and the tracking of the stolen and suspicious vehicles. In addition to that, the position and the speed can be communicated between vehicles for anti-collision and accidents avoidance.
