In this study, the causes and process of relocation are taken into consideration, the 108 households living in the day living and housing service center for the elderly in the depopulated area being interviewed. The causes of relocation seem to be potential causes that consist in care problems and housing problems in previous living life, and direct causes, close relation is seen between them. Information of facilities introduced by community welfare volunteer or from government offices in the town is more than half of all. Period of considering relocation to facility in many cases is very short, within 2 weeks. Some cases that relocation to facility is not decided by themselves, but their family members are seen (14 households). The longer their living time in their previous houses becomes, the stronger psychological burden in relocation becomes. And the case of relocation from owner occupied houses, it becomes the same. Now about treatment of houses in relocation, About 80 percent (56 households) of the households with owner occupied houses still own their houses now; There are houses left vacant (40 households), dwelled by their family members (16 households). Or in the cases when they intend to dispose of their owner occupied houses (13 households) or rental houses (15 households), they hope to live long or forever there in facility, but present facilities are founded as a short term residential supply.
