Abstract
This paper aims to clarify the characteristics on the dwelling spaces of newly built, detached, owned housing in prefectural government cities in Hokuriku region, that is, Toyama, Kanazawa and Fukui city. The conclusions are as follows ; 1. Typical site areas are 150 to 300m^2 in Toyama City, and are 100 to 250m^2 in Kanazawa and Fukui City. 2. Typical areas of floor space are 120 to 180 m^2 in Toyama City, and are 100 to 160 m^2 Kanazawa and Fukui City. 3. Typical compositions of dwelling rooms are LDK and one Japanese room or Japanese style suite of rooms in the first floor, and three bed rooms in the second floor. 4. The composition of the rooms in the first floor is LDK plus one Japanese room in case of 3 rooms, and LDK plus Japanese style suite of rooms in case of 4 rooms.
