Abstract
In this paper, space design and significance of the space of Mul Chok which were typical patterns of Chok Architecture of it were examined, on the basis of god images with struts located in a courtyard. As the result, we were able to draw out the following conclusion. Design of Mul Chok shows pictorial images mainly based on the Durga Myths and has a ritual space more splendidly decorated. In other words, this Chok is an architectural space that is dedicated to a guardian diety of the Malla Royal Family. This space is designed to win devine favor of Durga as the great goddess with the great power and Mul Chok was virtually the most important architecture in terms of design.
