The rate of sensible and latent heat radiated from the human body to the environment is one of factors that affect air conditioning load and the surrounding temperatures. This paper discusses characteristics of the heat radiated from the human body using the computer simulation applying Gagge's Two-Node Model, and examines a simplified estimation method concerning the sensible and the latent heat rates from the human body. This simplified method enables us to consider the effects of all six factors, namely the intrinsic insulation of clothing and the metabolic rates as human factors, and air temperature, humidity, air movement and MRT (Mean Radiant Temperature) as environmental factors. In this paper, the authers propose the data for estimation of air conditioning design load caused by the human body.
