This study discusses the utilization of wood resources in building material through an analysis of material flow and future dynamics, lifecycle assessment, and field surveys in our country and the Hiroshima Prefecture. The material flow analysis showed the dynamics of woody material. The environmental load analysis indicated that the reduction of CO2 emission in lumber sawing and plywood production should be prioritized. The study of future dynamics clarified that the accumulation of wood resources in 2060 may be 0.5－1.4 times that in 2014.
