The purpose of this paper is to propose a latticed dome with a new concept, and to grasp its mechanical properties. The dome of this type is constructed by continuous members in the direction of their axes. The members crossing at the joint, are allowed to shift their position on the surface. Therefore, it is expected that the stress affecting the member is dispersed to the neigh-boring members and the deformation propagates into the surrounding surface to reduce the concentration. In this paper, we survey the mechanical properties of this dome by the experiment and the numerical analysis.
