抄録

In order to investigate shear strength of beam-to-column connections with T-stub, a series of tests on such connections subjected to monotonic shear loading is described. The connenctions collapse because of buckling or yielding of the beam web at the compressive side, accompanied by out-of-plane bending of T-stub stems and beam flanges. The tset result is affected by thickness of beam frange and web and T-stub stem, beam length, and web connection . A method of predicting the general yield strength of the connections is developed based on buckling analysis and limit analysis. It gives reasonable agreement with the test data.
