Integrity of the tile finish on existing buildings is usually evaluated by the investigation of the exfoliation area and bond strength test. However, exfoliation sometimes occur again within the wall evaluated healthy by investigation. Therefore, we propose a method to assess the possibility of future exfoliation of existing wall tiles. In order to verify the validity of this method, evaluation in accordance with proposed method was carried out for the tiles of an existing building. It was confirmed that outcomes are compatible with the occurrence of exfoliation of the actual situation.
