抄録

In recent years, there has been growing concern about the occurrence of extreme ground motions exceeding the current standard levels. When seismically isolated buildings (SIBs) are subjected to such motions, extreme events such as damage to the superstructure and isolation interface may occur, leading to a rapid decline in performance. Therefore, the importance of evaluating a safety margin of SIBs has gained significant research attention. In this study, incremental dynamic analysis is conducted using design earthquake ground motions to probabilistically assess the safety margin while capturing the progression of damage states leading to the ultimate state of SIBs.
