In the foregoing report, it showed that "Honto-cho" was the data-book for estimation for building houses, and it was edited and used by "Daitoryo", who was the chief carpenter under "Edo-Shogunate", from the middle "Edo-era" to the end. "Honto" was the standard price of commodity and the standard labor and wage of construction works. The biginning of use of it coincided the consolidation of "Sakuji-kata", "Kobushin-kata" and "Kanjo-kata". The cause of use of this data-book had relation with social and economical conditions, and it was made to settle the rise in price of commodity or wage. Standard price arose from the fixed price originally in a contract for ten years. This data-book "Honto-cho" had similar contents to "Kanjo-cho" or "Sho-zumori" in "Gushikenki". Therefore, "Honto-cho" should be contained in "Daiku-gijutsu-sho" as the book of technique of estimation for building houses.
