On the occasion of regional development such as the construction of a large "New Town" it is requested to reorganize medical facilities. For this purpose it is fundamental to understand how medical facilities are used by and serve for the residents. This paper reports the following investigation of medical facility use in four J. H. C estates. 1. The neighbourhood medical facilities in and around the housing estate coverage differs after its location. 2. In case that the housing estate locatied in suburbs, about 15% of out patients and 50% inpatients used the neighbourhood facilities. 3. The neighbourhood facilities served mostly to female and child patients. the greater part of male patients used many hospitals in the mothers town.
