Stress in actual structures are not found to be in the state of more simple stresses. They usually exist in the form of combined stresses which act in two or three directions. Destruction of structures occur, therefore, under complex states of stresses. Numerous studies on the behavior of reinforced concrete members subjected to static loads have been made during the past several decades. Ultimate strengths of members subjected to pure bending moments, pure compression, and to combined compression and bending moments have been almost perfectly solved by both experimental and theoretical studies. On the other hand, studies on the behavior of fromework members in which combinations of shearing force-bending moment or shearing force-compressive force-bending moment and two directions eccentric moment exist still remain unsolved. The objective of this study is to formulate the law of failure on steel concrete columns under combined stresses and also to apply the ultimate strength formula of steel concrete calumns under two direction eccentric moment.
