This paper describes on the interior and exterior ornamental details in the Ueno Museum on the basis of the plans. J. Conder selected the pseudo-Saracenic style and moreover chase the Japaneseque taste for it's designs and imparted an Eastern character to it. He designed putting stress on the exterior ornaments because interior was occupied by many exhibition rooms and these rooms were not required ornaments so much.
