Abstract
To enhance the seismic performance of high-rise building during earthquakes, hybrid damper system has been applied to the building. This system consists of hysteresis damper, which performs well when it is deformed, and viscous damper, which is effective regardless of deformation. This study investingates the performance of the hybrid damper system to control vibration by conducting response analyses using a lumped mass model and a 3-dimensional member model.
