抄録

The purpose of this study is to grasp the efficiency of charring control of wooden column by water discharge equipment. The experiments were carried out in accordance with ISO834 fire standard curve using the furnace at BRI. The specimen, that is wooden column, was two sizes (Cross Section: 300mm* 300mm, 500mm^* 500mm, Length: 1000mm). The experimental conditions have changed the operation times of water discharge equipment, the quantity of discharged water the heating time and so on. As the results of experiments, The following tendencies were acquired; The surface of specimen is clearly divided into the portion of charring and no charring. The efficiency of charring control becomes higher so that the amount of discharged water increases.
