On-site investigation has been conducted on the distribution and other fire-safety- engineering related properties of combustible objects installed in atria of 8 office building complexes. The result reveals that the potential total heat release due to the combustible objects is less than 15.8MJ/m2 in atria used as entrance lobbies or passage ways and is within 100.4MJ/m2 when the atrium is used for temporary events.
