Abstract
Changwon, which had a population of 10,000 and was purely an agricultural area back in 1973, is now a major urban area of Keongnam and has a population of 500,000, of which over 90,000 are engaged in industry.
The purpose of this report, via the subject of Changwon which is the largest planned community developed in the shortest period of time within South Korea, is to understand the characteristics of this Formation Process and its relative challenges, so that these materials and information can be useful for Developing Countries to continue towards industrialization and urbanization.
