DEVELOPMENT OF “MACHINAMI CARTA” AS A TOWNSCAPE DISCUSSION TOOL

—Case study of Yubara District, Minakami, Gunma—

Abstract

This paper shows the effect of townscape discussion tool “Machinami Carta”, which is designed to plan the process of creating townscape through community participation. In this study, we aim to clear the steps towards making agreements among people living in “Yubara area Minakami town Tone-gun Gunma prefecture.” “Machinami Carta” is a tool designed to play games to gain four effects.

· To make people participate in agreement formation.
