The aim of this study is to clarify the method of community design education for elementary school students by focusing on a case study of ‘Machidukuri for children on Karahori’. We have tried to bring into the action for three years from 2008 to 2010. In this paper we could describe the key concepts of the program and workshop methods for community design education in historical urban district.
