The purpose of this paper is to clarify the creative process of Ryumon-an in Eiko-ji Temple by Mirei Shigemori (1896-1975). At first, we reproduce the flow of the design and the construction process, and secondly, we compare with the existing drawings and the measurements of Ryumon-an. In the course of the construction, Shigemori redesigned the modification of the sliding doors and the addition of the eaves and stepping stones, however we couldn’t suggest the participation of the change of the roof and the window design.
