It is said that the useful life of sanitary ware or kitchen unit is not long, but legal life of those is 15 years at least and maximum is 35 years in Japan. On the other hand, the holding period of replacement parts by manufacturers is about 10 years in general. As the basis that discusses and improves the present condition, we investigated the real use years of bathroom, kitchen unites and toilet in detached houses of two suburban housing complexes of over 25 years.
